Chapter 235

Arthur's POV:

| was burning.

With a lot of different emotions that | couldn’t even hope to explain. He didn’t have the right. And the way she

had looked at him? Almost as if he had hung the moon. She used to always look atlike that, I still had many

pictures that proved it, but now whenever she looked at me, her eyes were filled with anger. | didn’t know how to

deal with that and | hated it so much.

But | hated seeing her look at Stephen the way she did even more.

| watched as the warriors trained the newer recruits and although everything inyearned to go over and join

them, especially since the majority of then were having difficulties landing very simple techniques but | was too

angry if move from my car. | heard Stephen’s bike from almost a mile away and my fists clenched and

unclenched by themselves.

Soon | watched as he pulled into the parking lot with his boyish smile that was almost permanent painting his

lips and lighting up his face. Everything inwanted to go over and punch his face to ruin it of that smile, but

there were a hundred things wrong with trying to do that.

“Hey. Sorry | took so long, | had to stop to take scomplaints along the line and I'm hoping we'll be able to

discuss them later. They are pretty important. Con, I'll introduce you to the rest of them.” he said when he

got to my car.

Now, there was something about Stephen that had madevery skeptical from the moment he had joined my

pack. Having a pack open to misfits and rogues, the majority of people had behaviors that could be considered

scary and uncultured sometimes, but not Stephen.

He was the definition of perfect.

He knew how to be a leader even when he claimed that he had never led anyone from his previous pack, he

didn’t have any of the disturbing behavior of the majority of pack members and he was very competent. He was

able to remember minuscule things, he was organized, he was friendly and easy to talk to, he was strong and

most times he had a solution to the problem.

He had said he never felt accepted in his pack and that was why he had to leave but to this day, | couldn't think

of why a man like Stephen wouldn't be accepted in any pack, he had proven to be a vital person, | couldn't

understand why anyone wouldn't see it.

“I see we've begun sreally good exercises, but before we move any further, this is Alpha Arthur, most of you

already met him but he'll be joining in for the training today. So put in your best! He doesn’t play around.”

Stephen said, his tone light and teasing and although everyone else around them laughed at the joke, | couldn't

find it in myself to do the same.

These set of trainees were all omegas, | didn’t think it fair to train different denominations together as it could

get quite tricky pairing an Alpha or Beta with an omega, it was easy to tell that wherever these ones had come

from, they had never been exposed to training once in their life as was the case for the majority of the packs.

Most preferred to keep omegas as petty workers, child bearers, and pretty trophies, dressed and paraded

everywhere. It was disgusting to think about it.

These people could function as well as the other members of the pack and it was easy to make them obey too so

that was definitely a plus, there was no toxic masculinity in the air and it was just a set of people willing to do

their bests to impress you. The omega group wasn’t as large as we'd hoped but we've been getting more of

them lately and they were all learning fast which was what really mattered.

As | watched everyone else spar, the only one | could really focus on was a young omega with black hair who

had refused to spar properly with the partner given to him. His posture was stiff like he was afraid to even

breathe and he was trying his best to stay in place and make himself look as small as possible. It was even

harder to correct them both because they had chosen to move to the very end of the field to spar. | walked over

to them.

“Hey.” | greeted them as | got closer, trying my hardest to remember their names from the brief introduction we

had at the beginning.

“Are you okay? Do you need a break?” | asked and both turned to look atand | was surprised to find that they

were identical twins.
