Chapter 116 Barbara and Myra kept persuading them to stay, and Janice didn't know how to turn down their offer.

Edward glanced at Janice before saying, "It's fine. I need to get hand work on something." Janice let out a sigh of relief upon hearing that. She was worried that the family's elders might see through their act if they stayed any longer.

After saying goodbye to Barbara and Myra, Janice hurried into the car and said to the driver, "Get us to the nearest pharmacy." Edward asked, "Are you feeling unwell?" "It's your hand." Janice frowned deeply as she noticed a particularly serious-looking wound on the back of his hand.

She muttered, "Why did you shieldin the first place?" Edward glanced at the back of his hand. "Don't women care about their faces? If it had splashed on your face, what do you think would have happened? Besides, you have an appearance to make tomorrow. It wouldn't be appropriate." Janice's heart wavered slightly.

"In the car?" Edward confirmed, "With my girlfriend." Janice's eyelashes fluttered in shock.

Calvin said, "Alright. I won't bother you, then." "What's up?" Edward asked.

"I listened to Aunt Myra rant for a while just now. Is everything okay?" Edward casually let his injured hand rest. "Yeah, everything's fine. Aunt Myra just accidentally exposed someone's lie." After he hung up, the car headed toward Janice's place.

The silence felt a little awkward, so she took the initiative to ask, "Are you going back to Solvania for New Year's?" Edward was looking at his phone. Hearing that, he turned to her, the corners of his lips curving upward slightly. "Are you asking to spend New Year's with me?"
