Before they could react, Harold asked, “Is there anything else you want to say to me?” His words suggested he

was politely asking Baker and Kylee to leave.

Kylee, holding back tears, whispered to her father, “Dad, we should leave now.”

Baker now realized that any further discussion with Harold would be pointless. He stood up reluctantly and said

to Harold and Norma, “Mr. and Mrs. Clark, we will leave now, but we won't accept your money. Please keep the

check.”

“Okay, thank you,” Belinda replied, getting up to follow him.
