Chapter 236
Angela told herself to let it go. She thought there was no way to figure out what was going on in a man's heart.
She had already passed the message to Mia, who was over the moon when she found out Angela would be
coming to the equestrian club, too.
On the day of the event, Angela drove there alone. Mia was already waiting by the club's entrance. The second
she spotted Angela, she dashed over.
"Finally! I've been waiting forever," Mia said.
She was dressed in a sleek riding outfit, with her long hair tied up in a high ponytail, making her look particularly
spirited.
"How many people are coming today? Who's going to be here?" Angela asked.
What truly mattered to her was whether the person she hoped to meet would show up.
After stepping into her new role, Angela had established the department of supervision and changed company
policies, improving conditions for Graham Group and its employees.
Yet, she hadn't secured a major project—an oversight Andrew's group wasted no tusing against her.

seize this opportunity to build a connection with Harvey.
"I know exactly what you're about to ask, and I've already taken care of it," Mia said with a faint smile, warmth
flickering in her eyes.
She had seen right through Angela's intentions.
"Harvey was my college classmate. We've kept in touch, and | made sure to invite him. Con, let's go to the
lounge first. You can meet him there. After that, I'll find you something to change into, and then we'll join the
others," Mia added.
Angela felt truly grateful-and a little guilty for having kept her distance from Mia. "Don't overthink it," Mia said. "I
really do want to be friends with you."
Harvey was in the lounge, where Zayn was keeping him company. As they reached the door, Angela and Mia
heard voices coming from inside.
Angela was caught off guard. She hadn't expected Dexter to be there as well.
"So you're the Mrs. Bamford everyone talks about?" Harvey greeted her with a smile, his gaze sweeping over
her. "I've heard quite a bit about you, but nothing compares to meeting you in person."
Angela offered a poised, measured smile. "If anyone has a reputation that precedes them, it's you, Mr. Collins.
It's a pleasure to finally meet you."
She stepped forward and shook his hand.
Zayn and Dexter excused themselves, leaving Angela and Harvey alone in the spacious lounge. After a brief
exchange of pleasantries, they got straight to the point.
"You've only recently taken over
Graham Group, Ms. Graham, and to be frank, have no real way of
gauging your abilities. Pardon mine
bluntness, but I'm not exactly overflowing with confidence in Graham Group," Harvey admitted. Content belongs

A seasoned business veteran like him-one who had weathered every kind of storm in the market-naturally stood
in a league of his own compared to someone as new to the industry as Angela.
But she wasn't offended. She merely smiled and presented the materials she had prepared.
"Mr. Collins, here's a detailed report on several established design firms comparable to ours, along with an in-
depth analysis of MK

of bound documents toward him with both hands.
Harvey arched an eyebrow and began flipping through the pages with a smile. The marked sections and
extensive notes made it clear that the material had been studied in depth.
Angela continued, "From my research, MK Corporation has collaborated with several companies in Montivale
over the past three years but the results have been
lackluster, yielding little in terms of revenue growth and brand
reputation.
"This has probably been one of the main reasons MK Corporation is dropping
hints about reselecting partners, right?"
