Unimpressed, Xenia rolled her eyes and waved them off. “Alright, enough of this. After your meal, shouldn't you

be either training or on duty? Stop interrupting my important conversation.”

Xenia gave Norah an apologetic look. “Dr. Wilson, I'm really sorry. They didn’t mean any harm. It's just that

you're so stunning—honestly, even | am a little awestruck.”

Norah smiled slightly. She could easily differentiate between lighthearted jokes and actual harassment, and the

soldiers’ behavior was nothing more than admiration. “It’s alright. | didn’t take it seriously.”

Xenia led her to the dining area, found them a table, and then returned with two trays of food. She placed one in

front of Norah and sat across from her.

“Captain Dawson's surgery went smoothly, all thanks to you. On his behalf, | want to express my gratitude,”

Xenia said sincerely.

Norah shrugged it off. “It’s no big deal. You wouldn't have broughthere if you didn’t have someone in need

of saving, right?”

Xenia laughed awkwardly as she scratched her head. “To be honest, it was more of a test at first. Captain

Dawson's surgery just happened to be the perfect opportunity.”

The afternoon’s evaluation had concluded, and Xenia now had a clear understanding of Norah's capabilities. “Dr.

“You're right, and there’s nothing to hide anymore,” Xenia replied softly. “You've proven yourself. | was planning

to discuss this with you anyway.”

She paused briefly before continuing. “The Commander of the military district fell into a coma. After seeking

advice from various specialists, it was concluded that he was poisoned. Despite many doctors trying to treat him,

no progress has been made.”

The Commander was indeed a significant individual, which explained Xenia’s extrcaution. Someone with

ulterior motives could easily jeopardize the Commander's life with even the slightest mistake during treatment.

“How long has the condition persisted?” Norah asked, her tone calm but laced with concern.

“More than half a month,” Xenia replied.

That was an alarmingly long time, especially for a critical case.

Xenia continued, “When we were at our wit’s end, someone mentioned you—the Supernatural Doctor. That's

when | thought of inviting you for help. But for safety reasons, we had to run a test on you first.”

“That's completely understandable. Where's the patient? Can | see him after dinner?” Norah asked casually,

continuing to eat. Most of the food on her plate was already gone.

“He’s in the hospital, but not tonight. | need to file a report first, and then I'll take you there tomorrow,” Xenia

explained.

“Alright.”
