The entertainment center opened today. Ambrose, the construction boss, should've been there, but Alaric didn't

invite him. So, Ambrose watched the livestream, seeing Alaric and Stellan flaunt their affection.

Alaric said, "I'm most grateful to my wife. She givesendless strength, and..."

Ambrose shut off his computer. Marigold angrily turned off the TV and complained to Joe, "Alaric is so ungrateful.

I raised him, and now he thanks Stellan instead of me!"

"Mrs. Knight, calm down," Joe said, handing her a cup of tea. "They're in their honeymoon phase. Over time,

Alaric will realize who truly cares for him. A wife can be replaced, but a mother is irreplaceable. Don't let Stellan

upset you." "You're right," Marigold said firmly. "I'm his mother, and that won't change."

Joe nodded. "Absolutely, Mrs. Knight."

"Stop flattering me," Marigold snapped. "Let's go for a walk. Seeing Stellan just makesmad."

Joe quickly agreed and joined her for a walk.

Alaric's family had a busy day. After the speech, there was a big party with many celebrities.

Caspian, Harry, and Elisa were having a blast. They were naturally charming and mingled easily.

Alaric and Stellan danced in the hall's center, drawing envy from all who saw them online or in person, agreeing

they were a perfect match. "Are you tired?" Alaric asked.

"No, I'm excited," Stellan replied, thrilled by the entertainment center. "It's amazing! You're incredible!"

Though Stellan's praise was meant for Alaric, he knew Ambrose deserved the credit for the construction. "As

long as you like it," Alaric said, kissing her.

Stellan smiled and asked, "Did Rowena ctoday?"

Rowena, the entertainment center's ambassador, was invited but had a concert abroad.

"No," Alaric said. "She'll be here tomorrow."

"Performing abroad? That's amazing. I've been listening to her songs a lot lately; they're really good."

Stellan wasn't a fan of celebrities, but admired Rowena, especially after listening to her music. Although they had

never met, Stellan held a favorable view of her.

After the party, there was a huge fireworks show. It was so big that anyone in Arizona could see it from a high

spot.

Aurora dragged Cormac to the rooftop to watch. She even brought a telescope since it was a remote spot.

"It's starting, Cormac!" Aurora said, excitedly looking through the telescope. She handed it to Cormac. "Look, the

fireworks have started."

"I don't need to look, Aurora. You enjoy it," Cormac said, giving the telescope back. Aurora, too excited, took it

and kept watching, cheering at the sight. She had never seen fireworks before.

The entertainment center's grand opening was all over the news. Headlines like "Alaric is the real rich man" and

"Alaric and Stellan's fairy-tale love" were everywhere, along with mentions of the celebrities at the party. It felt

like the whole city was celebrating, and few noticed that today was also Griffon's trial.

Cormac checked his phone for news about Griffon's trial. The verdict was twenty years in prison.

Twenty years?

At Griffon's age, he might not survive that long. This was his retribution for hurting so many people.

Cormac deeply resented Griffon and would not choose him as a father if he had a choice.

But why did he still feel so sad?

"Cormac, the fireworks are spelling out words in the sky. It's incredible. Look!" Aurora said, handing the telescope

to him again. Cormac forced a smile. "I don't need to. You enjoy it, Aurora."

Though he smiled, Aurora could tell he was unhappy. She put down the telescope and asked, "What's wrong? Are

you upset?" "No," Cormac replied, trying to smile naturally. "We're about to head to the entertainment center.

How could | be upset?"

Aurora said, "Oh right, we need to line up outside the entertainment center. If too many people show up, we

might not get in." Cormac smiled. "Let's go hand change clothes. I'll take you there."

"Okay!"

Aurora had been excited for days about going to the entertainment center, and Cormac had even bought her a

new dress. "Con, Aurora, try on this dress and see if it fits."

Aurora was surprised. "Cormac, did you buy this for me?"

Cormac nodded. "We're going to the entertainment center, so you should dress nicely. Try it on."

Aurora delightedly took the dress, increasingly admiring it with each glance, yet feeling sunease. "It's

beautiful. How much does it cost?"

"It's not expensive. As long as you like it, Aurora. Try it on and letsee."

"Okay!" Aurora quickly put on the dress and twirled in front of Cormac. "Cormac, does it look good?"

"It looks great," Cormac said. "Let's go. I'll take you to line up."

Cormac took Aurora to line up outside the entertainment center. Many people were already in line, worried they

wouldn't get in if it got too crowded.

This was the reality of living at the bottom, wasn't it? Cormac was coming to terms with his current life. He just

wanted to make Aurora happy and give her a good time.
