Chapter 370 After All, He's a Stranger, | Don't Feel at Ease.

The meal was chill, and Tommy was always super polite.

After dinner, they took Tommy to Stellan's old crib. Walking in, Tommy looked around nervously, "This place is

huge. | can't handle it. I'll crash here tonight and move to the staff dorm tomorrow." "It's cool, Uncle Tommy,"

Elisa jumped in, "It's just sitting here empty. Stay as long as you want."

"Yeah, don't sweat it. Make yourself at home," Stellan added, "If you need anything, just holler." Tommy nodded,

"Thanks a ton."

"No need for all that," Alaric said, "It's late, and you gotta shake off that jet lag. Get srest." "Alright, Mr. and

Mrs. Knight, take care." He waved at the kids. "Caspian, Harry, Elisa, see ya." The three of them chimed in

together, "Bye, Uncle Tommy."

Once they were in the car, Alaric turned to Stellan, "So, what do you think of Tommy?"

Stellan replied, "Super humble and polite."

Elisa piped up, "And really handsome, that's the kicker!"

"Elisa, | didn't know you were so shallow. His looks have nothing to do with you," Harry teased. "So, you all like

him?" Alaric asked.

"Yep," Caspian, Harry, and Elisa said in unison.

Seeing they all liked Tommy, Alaric just smiled and let it go.

It was late, and once they got home, the kids hit the showers and went to bed.

After her shower, Stellan, feeling lazy like a cat, was scooped up and carried to bed by Alaric.

Snuggled up in bed, Stellan said, "Tommy's got a solid education. | hope he can really push Nexus Innovations

forward. When you get back, he can be your right-hand man, and you can chill a bit." "Fingers crossed. What role

are you thinking for him?" Alaric asked.

"I'm still mulling it over. Josep sent him, so we can't start him at the bottom, but giving him a top spot might

ruffle sfeathers," Stellan said, looking at Alaric, "What do you think?"

Alaric suggested, "Let him shadow Silas for now, with a nice salary bump. That way, we can answer to Josep.

Watch him for a bit, and if he's got the chops, promote him. No one will complain." Stellan nodded, "Got it, nice

move."

Alaric smiled. "Get ssleep."

"Okay," Stellan mumbled, then snuggled closer and closed her eyes.

With the recent scare from that creepy package, Stellan hadn't slept well. Tonight, she finally relaxed and got

sgood sleep.

She slept deeply, and when she woke up, Alaric had already made breakfast.

"I told you it's fine to do it sometimes, but you're cooking again," Stellan said, half-scolding.

Alaric shrugged. "I'm bored. | thought | could dig into that case from seven years ago, but that hit a dead end

too."

Alaric was never one to sit still. Having nothing to do all day was driving him nuts.

Stellan comforted him, "I know you're bored and restless, but you gotta hang in there. It's just five months; it'll

fly by."

Five months? If he had to chill for five months, it would feel like forever.

Seeing that Alaric wasn't budging, Stellan suddenly had an idea. "Hey, Josep's got a lecture coming up about

healthy living and mood stuff. Wanna check it out?"

Stellan checked the date, and it turned out Josep's lecture was on Marigold's birthday. Since Alaric decided not to

go, it was better to keep him busy than let him stew at home. "Me, at a lecture?" Alaric chuckled. "Isn't that for

old folks?"

Stellan rolled her eyes. "That's just a stereotype. When Josep does lectures in Country M, tickets are like gold,

and most of the crowd is young. It's really good stuff. Just go and listen." Alaric shook his head. "Nah, I'm not

going."

Stellan pouted, "Con, I'll get front-row seats from Josep. It'll be good for your health, okay, babe?"

Stellan turned on the charm, and eventually, Alaric caved. "Alright, I'll go."

"You're the best, babe," Stellan said, standing on her tiptoes to kiss him.

After Alaric agreed, Stellan called Josep, who was super excited.

"Of course, I'll save the best seat for Mr. Knight," Josep said.

"Thanks a ton, Josep," Stellan replied.

Stellan was thrilled Alaric agreed to the lecture. She just wanted to find something to keep him busy without

boring him to death.

When Stellan got to the office, Tommy was already there.

"Morning, Ms. Storm." Since they were at work, Tommy ditched the "Mrs. Knight" and went with "Ms. Storm."

Stellan smiled, "You're early."

"It's my first day; can't be late," Tommy said. "Ms. Storm, | am ready for any assignment." "Alright." Stellan

assigned him to Silas, just like Alaric suggested, to let Silas show him the ropes.

Tommy was eager to learn, sticking close to Silas to get the hang of things.

Cormac popped in to drop off sdocuments when Tommy knocked and walked in.

"Ms. Storm, these need your signature." Tommy respectfully placed the papers on her desk.

"Perfect timing. Letintroduce you," Stellan said. "Tommy, this is Cormac Nash, head of the entertainment

center. Cormac, this is Tommy Reaves, our new guy. Today's his first day."

"Mr. Nash, nice to meet you," Tommy greeted respectfully.

"Hey there." Cormac was a bit taken aback by the new hire.

Stellan said, "Alright, Tommy, you can get back to work. If you have any questions, ask Silas."

"Got it, Ms. Storm." Tommy then headed out.

"A new hire?" Cormac asked, surprised. "I didn't hear about any openings."

"Yeah, there aren't any. Tommy's Josep's nephew. He wanted a job, so Josep called Alaric," Stellan explained.

Cormac raised an eyebrow. "Josep's nephew? Never heard him mention it."

Stellan nodded. "Yeah, Josep said they hadn't seen each other in years."

"In that case, we don't really know him. You just got that creepy letter, and now there's a stranger around. It

feels sketchy. Until we know more about him, don't trust him with anything significant," Cormac advised.
