At first, Seline thought Noelle was just brushing her off out of embarrassment. But when she met her eyes, she realized-nothing really had happened.

Seline immediately becdeflated. "How boring. I've never heard of a couple going on vacation, staying at a hotel, and having absolutely nothing happen." "It wasn't just the two of us. Rosie was there, too." "She's a kid. What does she know?" As Seline spoke, a thought suddenly occurred to her. She looked at Noelle and asked, "You're not still hung up on Hendrix, are you?" "No." "Then, why didn't you—" Noelle suddenly stopped what she was doing and turned to Seline. "But it's true that I'm not ready to accept someone new right now.
